This place truly stands by its name. It indeed is the “Spotlight” in the Rajouri circle. The architectural design and interiors with spotlight written on the side wall with neon bulb hangings is the centre of attraction of the place and one happens to get the very first glimpse of it upon entering. It has a small sitting capacity of around 45-50 with the bar section right infront of the dining area.
It’s well lit and the interiors are indeed commendable with blend of variant colours and beautiful wall paintings.A perfect place to party and dine with lively music being played.
The staff is very attentive and polite and friendly and is up to give you suggestions on their best must try dishes.
It is a multi cuisine restaurant varying from North Indian,Italian, Chinese to Continental. We placed our order for a plate of Chilly chicken,Mexican and Jalapeno pizza, Mini corn & mushroom quesadilla, mutton seekh kebab, fish tikka &paneer tikka. Each one of them were sumptuous and finger licking. We wanted more and more but the tummy didn’t allow us any further (sigh..!)
Next up were the drinks, we ordered:
1)An apple ginger cooler mocktail which had apple juice & fresh ginger and honey as the ingredients shaken together and served with chilled soda water. A very refreshing and soothing drink.
2) Kala Khatta cooler mocktail : An extraordinary drink made with a hatke style .It was a frozen drink with a mix of kala khatta & fresh ginger. This one is definitely a must try and one that you can come across only at Spotlight Bistro.
3) Virgin Mojito : I found it ordinary as found at other dining places. A classic cuban cooler with brown sugar, fresh mint leaves.muddled and served chilled with soda water.
4) Paan Mojito cocktail : It was an impressive drink indeed and was very pleasant to the taste buds with a good blend of the pan flavour. It wasn’t too strong and I found it staggering.Thumbs up for this one.
5)Spotlight screwdriver cocktail : It was Vodka shaken with mint leaves, brown sugar & homemade lime pickle.I found it very strong for my taste buds as the quantity of vodka was more and not in the right blend to have a good balance. Those who prefer their drinks strong, can definitely go with this.
Last but not the least– They even have seesha to add to your mood and we tried the pan flavour which was expertly made.It simply made the evening amazing for us along with DJ.
If you looking for good food which shouldn’t burn a hole in your pocket, good music and nice crowd along with good interiors, then without a second thought, step inside-“SPOTLIGHT BISTRO & BAR”.
Recommend: Mini corn & mushroom quesadilla, Fish tikka, Kala khatta martini and Paan Mojito
